SuperStack II ARPS DUAL PHASE Chassis
Accelts two AC sources that can be from separate phases.
As the Advanced RPS chassis (3C16071A) can be powered from diffrent phases it is possiable to connect one of the mains inlets to a UPS (Uninterrupted Power System), such as the SuperStack II UPS.
The Advanced RPS chassis (3C16071A) will always draw power through main inlet A (labelled Primary Pwr A) in preference to inlet B (lablled Backup Pwr B).
A, and the backup supply connected to inlet B. If the power to inlet A fails, the chassis will reset and switch to use inlet B. If the power in inlet A recovers, the chassis will reset again and change back to use its primary power source, inlet A. The reset time is approximately 13 seconds.
The Type 2A (3C16074A) Power Module provides support for a range of products.
You must ensure that a Type 2A Power Module is used if configuring the Advanced RPS to support one of the newer 3Com SuperStack family of products.
There is also a Type 2 "Y" cable (3C16078 which is designed for use with the Type 2A Power Module.
CAUTION:
The ARPS chassis (3C16071A does not support the Type 2 Power Module (3C16074). You must use a Type 2A Power Module (3C16074A).

- ALL - SuperStack II Baseline 10/100 Switch
