SuperStack 3 Advanced RPS Type 3 Power Module
(3C16075 is a 325 Watt Type 3 Module) The Type 3 Power Module fits into the SuperStack 3 Advanced RPS Chassis (3C16071, 3C16071A, or 3C16071B). The module provides redundant power from the Advanced RPS chassis to the SuperStack 3 Switch 4900 Series.
Type 3 Modules can be used in three configurations
- Standard - The power moidule acts as a high reliable power supply that can be swapped in the event of a failure.
- Managed Redundancy - Connect the power module to the SuperStack 3 unit using the standard DC cable with this power module. Provide AC mains supply to both the SuperStack 3 unit and the Advanced RPS chassis. If the SuperStack 3 unit's internal power fails, the unit auto-enables the Advanced RPS. Alternatively, some SuperStack 3 units use the Advanced RPS as thier default power supply, and if this fails they revert to their internal power supply.
## This set-up provides a managed redundant (single module) configuration.
- Full Redundancy - Connect two Type 3 Modules to the SuperStack 3 unit using the optional 'Y' cable (3C16077) . Provide AC mains supply to the Advanced RPS chassis only. If one, of the modules fails, the other module will take full load, and allow you to "hot-swap" the faulty module, to return the system to full redundancy.
## This set-up provides a full redundant (resilient) configuration.
