with 1 XCVR Module slot The LinkBuilder TP/12 is a non-manageable entry-level 10 Base T multiport unit. The unit has 12 dedicated unshielded twisted pair ports on the front panel and provides room for a thirteenth port on the rear panel. For the thirteenth port you can fit a transceiver Module, allowing you to connect directly to other types of cabling.The unit is ideally suited for use in the office but it can just as easily be rack-mounted a wiring closet or equipment room using one of the optional mounting kit. The unit allows separate workgroups to be cascaded from a central wiring unit. It can be used where there are not enough wall or floor sockets for you to connect each user to the central unit. You can use the unit to connect unshielded twisted pair cables to a network where the main cabling used may be of a different type such as coaxial (10Base2 or 10Base5) or optical fiber. The unit has been designed to conform to the IEEE 802.3 standard for Local Area Networks.
