The SuperStack II Dual Speed Hub 500
- Hub 10 Cascade Converter Kit (3C16686)
is designed to allow a managed SuperStack II Hub 10 stack to be connected to a
managed SuperStack II Dual Speed Hub 500 to form a single stack. The kit
contains a module and a cascade cable.
The Module connects 10Mbps data from the 10Mbps
stack to the 10/100Mbps stack via a Dual Speed Hub 500 Cascade cable. This cable
also connects the management traffic. This method allows the use of the superior
management Web interface of the Dual Speed Hub 500, while maintaining the look
and feel of Hub 10 management.
The Cascade Converter Module is intended for use
with stacks of the following products:
- SuperStack II Hub 10 6-port Fiber
- SuperStack II Hub 10 12-port TP
- SuperStack II Hub 10 24-port TP
- SuperStack II Hub 10 24-port Telco
fitted with:
- SuperStack II Hub 10 Management Module, or
- SuperStack II Hub 10 Advanced RMON Module.
The Module may be used in stacks of LinkBuilder FMS II and/or LinkBuilder FMS
units provided the stack has appropriate management. See the manual which
accompanied the units for more details.
Only ONE Cascade Converter Module may be used in the final stack.
