The 3Com AccessBuilder® 6100 inverse multiplexer delivers LAN-speed performance and multimegabit applications over low-cost public or private WAN facilities. Today’s applications such as high-speed enterprise routing, broadcast-quality video, or channel extension often require bandwidth beyond T1/E1, yet in many cases T3/E3 may be cost-prohibitive or not available. With the AccessBuilder 6100 inverse multiplexer you can overcome that obstacle by aggregating multiple T1/E1 lines allowing you to cost effectively provide up to 10/11 Mbps of bandwidth for high-speed WAN applications.
Installed at a corporate site or in a carrier point of presence, the AccessBuilder 6100 inverse multiplexer attaches to routers, switches, video devices, and so on, via its Ethernet or serial (HSSI, V.35, and RS-449/ X.21) interfaces. The AccessBuilder 6100 product further simplifies the delivery of reliable and cost-efficient LAN extension services with transparent bridging, a suite of standard interfaces, and integral SNMP capabilities.
