The SuperStack II system is 3Com’s industry-leading integrated
network architecture with an advanced feature set to carry your network into the
next century. Simple to install, use, and manage, SuperStack II products deliver
scalability across each key network parameter—performance, density,
connectivity, and LAN technology to give you complete freedom to grow your
network on your terms. You can easily build and rebuild stacks to accommodate
change while simultaneously protecting existing infrastructure investments.
These upgradeable, compact SuperStack II or stand-alone routers
offer X.25 connection services, multiprotocol routing, IP/IPX routing, and
Boundary Routing technology, which ensures session control for SNA traffic.
Every router includes software and documentation, an integrated 10BASE-T
transceiver, connectors, and a rack mount kit to eliminate the need for extra
cables and components. Support for Transcend network management software offers
an easy-to-use graphical interface plus private MIBs.
• Upgradeability protects your investment and simplifies growth
• 3Com’s optional advanced redundant, uninterruptible, and -48V
DC power systems ensure mission-critical fault tolerance
• Router software supports industry-standard data compression to
increase effective bandwidth and reduce dial-up line usage fees;
bandwidth-on-demand to handle peak traffic; dial-on-demand to control line use;
and smart filters to block superfluous remote traffic
