SuperStack II NETBuilder 52x and 42x series routers bring
SuperStack system functionality and fully digital ISDN dial services to remote
LAN users. ISDN delivers the fast call setup needed by routing protocols, and
easily surpasses analog modem speeds. SuperStack II NETBuilder 52x and 42x
routers support two ISDN data channels and one control channel via the ISDN
Basic Rate Interface. The data channels can be used independently to connect to
different locations, or used as one logical connection to a remote site.
Adding to ISDN flexibility, SuperStack II NETBuilder 52x and 42x
series routers offer Boundary Routing technology or full multiprotocol routing.
These upgradeable, compact, SuperStack Token Ring ISDN routers
include the SuperStack II NETBuilder 527 router for multiprotocol routing and
SuperStack II NETBuilder 523 router for SNA Boundary Routing technology. Every
router includes software and documentation, an integrated UTP and STP Token Ring
LAN connection (supporting either 4 or 16 Mbps), connectors (including an
advanced redundant power system connector), and a rack mount kit to eliminate
the need for extra cables and components. Support for Transcend® network
management software provides an easy-to-use graphical interface with a common
look and feel, and SNMP MIB II compliance supports many standard MIBs.
• SuperStack II NETBuilder 52x series routers support an ISDN
Basic Rate Interface (BRI) and, for analog links, a Data Terminal Equipment
(DTE) interface as well as a Data Communications Equipment (DCE) interface with
special cable
• Router software supports industry-standard data compression
and dial services to increase effective bandwidth, reduce dial-up line usage
fees, handle peak traffic, and block superfluous remote traffic
• Upgradeability (SuperStack II NETBuilder 523 to 527 router functionality)
protects your investment and simplifies growth
