The 3Com Fault-Tolerant 10Base-T Transciever provides highly-reliable, low-cost connections for IEEE 802.3 and Ethernet V2.0 devices. All link-related transceiver electronics are fully redundant. Any primary link failure between the network and the attached devices causes an automatic switchover to the backup connection that keeps the connection up and running, generally with no noticeable disruption.
The Fault-Tolerant Transceiver expands on the 3Com commitment to fault-tolerant networking by providing fault tolerance to the desktop without the expense of fiber optic equipment.
