The CoreBuilder 9000 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet RJ-45 Layer 2 Switching Module (Model Number 3CB9LF36R) and the CoreBuilder 9000 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet Telco Layer 2 Switching Module (Model Number 3CB9LF36T).
The modules have these features:
- The 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet RJ-45 Layer 2 Switching Module (36-port FEN
RJ-45 Switching Module) has thirty-six 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports with RJ-45
connectors on its front panel.
- The 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet Telco Layer 2 Switching Module (36-port FEN
Telco Switching Module) has three RJ-21 Telco connectors on the front panel.
Each RJ-21 Telco connector contains 12 switched 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, for
a total of 36 switched ports.
- Each module has two 1-Gigabit ports on the back for connection to the chassis backplane.
Key Features:
Both the 36-port FEN RJ-45 Switching Module and the 36-port FEN Telco Switching Module support the following features:
- Module installation or replacement while the system is powered on (which are known as hot insert and hot swap, respectively) for high availability.
- Management using the CoreBuilder 9000 Administration Console (a command line interface), the Web Management suite of applications, or SNMP-based applications
Installation Tips: In the 7-slot chassis, you install the module horizontally with the LEDs at the left. In the 8-slot chassis and 16-slot chassis, you install the module vertically with the LEDs at the top.
